We are Mariano and Mónica van Heuvelen, founders of Mission Zera Metán. It is our pleasure to tell you something about ourselves and the new School for Missions. After fifteen years of working for the Zera Metán foundation, we now face the great challenge of starting this project.

What is Mission Zera?

Psalm 22:31: 'The offspring will serve Him, and everyone will tell his children about Him.'

Zera means seed in Hebrew and represents the progeny.

We have the following main goals:

To serve as a gateway for the missionary who comes to work in the north of Argentina.
To be a place that serves to receive missionaries, and also a space to educate, train and mobilize future generations.
We train through education.
We form through practice.

Acts 13:47: 'For this is what the Lord has commanded us: "I have appointed you to be a light for all nations, to bring salvation to the ends of the earth."

Mission Zera Metán does not present itself as a church in itself, but as a service for the Church, with the aim of bringing the message to the ends of the earth. The school has two phases: theoretical and practical.

Theory: January 5 - January 24 in the city of Metán, province of Salta.
Practical: from January 25 to February 2 - we go to the Puna Salteña, into the mountains to reach the unreached villages.

Who is it for?

For those who want to be prepared for the mission and experience a time of service in another culture or those who want to mobilize Missions in their church. For people aged 18 and over or minors with permission to travel through a notary. For all those with a spirit of service and adaptability in other environments and who want to work in a team.

Costs

$150,000 (Argentine pesos, 2024 exchange rate) Also possible to pay in three installments.
Includes: Accommodation, food & drinks, school materials, transportation to the 'practice' location.
Excludes: Transportation to Metán.
