2024

23/09/2024 - 29/09/2024

This week we have all been working hard on the Zera Metán Mission School project. Firstly, we have installed part of the ceiling, which is really starting to transform the space. It is nice to see how everything is slowly coming into shape. Monica has also done a great job creating the church logo and a world map with beautiful stones from St. Antonio. This not only adds ambiance, but also strengthens the sense of community. Ariel worked hard for two days plastering the walls. The results are already visible. Every little bit helps to make it a nice place for everyone in the end.

In addition, Mariano, Monica and the children and Ariel went to St. Antonio. The women had organized an activity where they made crowns to feel like princesses again. It was so nice to see how they had fun and felt confident again.

All in all, it was an inspiring week, full of collaboration and creativity. We are grateful for everything we have achieved this week and looking forward to next week.

7/10/2024 - 13/10/2024

This week was all about making great strides on the construction site. October is our month of rough work, so that we can start finishing in November. The plastering is almost finished and time was also spent painting the windows and doors. The building is taking shape!

Monica went to a youth conference in Salta this week to promote the Zera Metán foundation. This was a great opportunity to share our mission and vision with young people from the region. We also made preparations for the teenies. We give the teenagers from the church an hour of lessons every Saturday. These lessons are an important part of our work and we look forward to working with the teenagers again this week.

This week we also had unexpected visitors: five people with car break down who spent two nights in the church. Although their situation was far from ideal, they were able to "trial sleep" in the building right away! It was wonderful to see how the church could also offer a safe place in this way. The stay of the five people with car break down also brought something unexpectedly positive. The son of one of them has decided to sign up as a new student for our mission school! It is special to see how God works, even in unexpected situations. We look forward to welcoming him into our program and watching him grow in his faith and dedication.

Thank you for your support and prayers!
