Who we are

Zera Metan consists of two connected parts.

• In the Netherlands, Stichting Zera Metan serves as the support base. The foundation is ANBI-recognised and is responsible for gifts, relationships with churches and the administrative side of the work. A home-support committee assists in this.
• In Argentina, Mariano and Mónica van Heuvelen live in Metán. From there they carry out the projects of Zera. The work stands alongside the local church, not in its place. We work together with congregations in Metán and the surrounding area, and train people who in turn serve — in their own church or in the field. The team is small. Family, students, volunteers and congregations in the Netherlands and Argentina contribute together. The foundation does not exist to enlarge itself, but to sow.
