The Zera Mission School in northern Argentina is interdenominational out of biblical and strategic conviction. The school does not belong to one specific denomination, but is open to all churches and to every Christian who takes the Great Commission to heart. We firmly believe that mission brings the Church together. When Christians from different traditions come together to proclaim the Gospel, the prayer of Jesus takes shape:
“That they all may be one… so that the world may believe” (John 17:21). Engaging in mission together not only increases the impact, but also produces a deep and visible unity that glorifies the Lord and strengthens His Body in the north of the country.
Spiritual admission requirement
In order to preserve this unity in the truth, every student who wishes to be admitted to the school must accept the Nicene Creed (AD 325) and sign his or her agreement with it. This historical and ecumenical confession of faith summarises the essential truths of the Christian faith:
- The Trinity
- The deity of Christ
- His incarnation, death and resurrection
- Salvation by grace through faith This confession of faith does not belong to one particular church or movement, but forms a common foundation of the worldwide Church through the centuries. In this way our school becomes a place where mission does not divide, but unites; where different church backgrounds form no obstacle, but become a strength that helps to extend the Kingdom of God in northern Argentina and beyond. Welcome to a school where Christians from different churches take the Great Commission to heart together and set out to proclaim the Gospel to the ends of the earth!
We firmly believe in:
- One God, who exists eternally in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension and His personal return in glory.
- The divine inspiration and the infallible authority of the whole Bible as the Word of God.
- That all people are by nature sinful and in need of salvation, by grace and through faith in Jesus Christ.
- The present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who equips the believer for a victorious life, spiritual gifts and effective service.
- The resurrection of the dead, the final judgement and eternal life for those who are saved in Christ. This is the doctrinal foundation on which all our teaching and our ministry rest.
