Congregations

Zera Metan does not belong to one church, nor does it exist for one church. The foundation serves the universal church. In practice we work closely with local congregations, including:

• Casa de Dios in Metán
• Piedras Vivas in Río Piedras
• Iglesia de los Andes in San Antonio de los Cobres Mariano and Mónica serve Casa de Dios as pastors. Piedras Vivas arose out of earlier work in Río Piedras. The cooperation with De los Andes fits outreach toward the highlands. These congregations are not branches of the foundation. They are church: preaching, pastoral care, discipleship, families. The school and the projects may strengthen those congregations — with people, with training, with practical help — but they do not take their place. Those who follow from the Netherlands or elsewhere are therefore not supporting “our church”, but work that serves the local congregation and equips new workers.
